Urban transportation, with its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, is closely related to academics, as well as local and central level administrators and policymakers, and city residents who want to use transportation systems effectively and efficiently. Problems that are frequently mentioned especially during the transformation of big cities into megacities such as Istanbul and Ankara force professionals to think and research intensively. In today’s world where mobility and vehicle ownership are increasing rapidly, the rational and efficient planning and organization of urban transportation is evolving into a structure that teams from different disciplines try to solve by coming together. On the one hand, the diversity and quality revealed in urban mobility are accepted as an indicator of the urban life quality of citizens, on the other hand, sustainability goals are tried to be achieved with new approaches in transportation planning.

At the 6th Conference on Urban Studies, it is aimed to analyze the transportation problems faced by the stakeholders who are in the decision-making position in urban transportation and to produce solutions by considering all aspects of transportation.

One of the most important problem areas of this Conference is to investigate the determination of the main deadlocks in front of urban transportation after the Covid-19 Pandemic. While urban transportation is currently a problem area that needs to be handled and planned on a different scale than inter-city transportation and with different actors and systems, it has become inextricable with the newly added problems with the Covid-19 Pandemic. With this conference, it is also aimed to identify the main problems experienced in urban transportation, which is one of the sectors most affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic, which has affected the whole world and to develop solutions by taking into account the living and working conditions that have occured and will occur after the pandemic.

From this point of view, the 6th Conference on Urban Studies opens the following topics for discussion in the context of transportation in the world and in Turkey, especially in urban transportation, under the title of “Urban Transportation”:
