Todd Litman is the founder and executive director of the Victorian Institute for Transport Policy, an independent research organization dedicated to developing innovative solutions to transport problems. His research is used worldwide in transportation planning and policy analysis. Litman has conducted a number of studies evaluating shipping costs, benefits, and innovations. He is the author of the Online TDM Encyclopedia, a comprehensive Internet resource for identifying and evaluating mobility management strategies, Transportation Cost and Benefit Analysis, and Parking Lot Management. Active in many professional organizations, including the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Transportation Research Board (part of the US National Academy of Sciences), Litman is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the journal Transportation Research A.
