Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Elker

He graduated from the METU Faculty of Architecture in 1968. In 1981, he completed his doctorate on “Selection of Transportation System in Cities” at ITU Faculty of Architecture. He worked in various public institutions in the fields of urbanism and transportation and worked as a manager. He worked as a part-time lecturer at Gazi University, Department of Urbanism and Architecture and Traffic Planning Master’s Program. He received the title of “associate professor” in 1992 and “professor” in 2002 in the Department of Urbanism. He worked as a faculty member at Çankaya University and Atılım University, and served as department chair and dean. He worked as a project manager, manager, and consultant in transportation planning studies of many cities. He received awards and honorable mentions in architecture and urban planning competitions, participated in with his wife, Architect İsmet Elker. He has many national and international publications and national books.
