Prof. Dr. Ebru V. Öcalır

Prof. Dr. Ebru V. Öcalır received his undergraduate degree from Gazi University City and Regional Planning Department and her master’s degree from METU Regional Planning Program. She completed his doctorate at Vienna Technical University, Department of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering, where she went with a YÖK scholarship. She also did post-doctoral research on the modeling of transportation and land use relations at the Vienna Technical University Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Research Center, with the scholarship she received from YÖK. Prof. Dr. Ebru V. Öcalır has more than ten years of project management experience in transportation and urban mobility. She worked as a transportation policy expert, project coordinator, and academic advisor in many national and international projects, including the Turkish National Transportation Master Plan. She has two international and one national books on transportation and transportation systems planning, urban mobility, urban planning, sustainability, Geographic Information Systems, and Decision Support Systems. Öcalır, who is still a faculty member at the Department of City and Regional Planning at Gazi University, is the director of the Institute of Urban Studies Transportation Working Group Program.
