Collaboration with ACR + (Association of Cities and Regions for Sustainable Resource Management)
Institute for Urban Studies believes that cooperation with national and international organizations will contribute to the creation of a sustainable habitat for cities. Therefore, produces cooperation platforms with local governments, universities, and NGOs both in Europe and in Turkey. ACR + (Association of Cities and Regions for Sustainable Resource Management) is one of the important organizations that support cities to work on the axis of sustainability with the work it does in the European region.
With the official membership of the Institute of Urban Studies, ACR +, we intend to conduct the best examples of local governments and urban actors in Turkey to the European axis, while establishing the basis for how to implement the sustainability strategies created in European urban areas in the context of Turkey.
ACR +, the international network of cities and regions that share the goal of promoting sustainable resource management and accelerating the transition to a circular economy in their regions and beyond, promotes efforts to preserve the natural morphology of the city while working to build the capacities of city managers.
The cooperation between ACR + and the Institute of Urban Research will contribute to the development of the capacities of all urban actors, especially local governments, in Turkey.
